26 December 2006	34 Health Centers reconstructed by BJS handed over to Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Program held at Tagore Govt. College Conference hall. Minister of State and Home Affairs, Shri. S. Raghupathy, Member of Parliament (Andaman and Nicobar), Shri. Manoranjan Bhakta, Commissioner cum Secretary, Health, Shri Aravind Ray (IAS), Member of National Disaster Management Authority, Shri. Shasidhar Reddy, Director of Health Services, Dr. N. 17-25 December 2006	18-19th Dec Management Development Program conducted in Port Blair for 40 Head of the Institutions. Mr.C. Nachiappan, Asst. Director, Planning, Education Department was the chief guest.Student Assessment Program conducted in 1 school for 69 students.Smart school software installed in 3 schools and training has been given to 4 teachers.
10 to 16 December 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 6 schools for 300 students.Smart school software installed in 3 schools. 9 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 5 schools and given training for 57 teachers
9 December 2006	Ms. Anjulatha Varma, DEO Rangat Visited BJS office, Port Blair.
3 to 9 December 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 4 schools for 112 students.Smart school software installed in 3 schools. 6 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 2 schools and given training for 47 teachers.

26 to 30 November 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 6 schools for 215 students.Smart school software installed in 1 school and 3 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 3 schools and given training for 63 teachers
20 November 2006	ORT officials meeting with BJS team held at BJS office, Port Blair. Team Manager, Mr. Manas Sen Sharma given in-depth presentation on Teachers Training Program and Disaster Management Program. Team Manager, Mr. Raju Gosh given detailed presentation on Smart School Software and benefits, Multimedia teaching and Computer Awareness Program. Project Coordinator, Ms. Aditi Biswas given presentation on Student Assessment Program and Project Coordinator, Mr. Krishnakumar given presentation on Yoga Training.
19 to 25 November 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 8 schools for 727 students.Smart school software installed in 2 schools. 2 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 6 schools and given training for 50 teachers.22-23rd Nov teachers Training program conducted at Hutbay, little Andaman, 39 teachers attended. On 24th Nov Disaster Management program conducted at Hutbay, little Andaman, 39 teachers got trained. Executive Engineer Mr. Subramaniam was the Chief Guest.
19 November 2006	Director, ORT International, Ms. Celeste Angus and Director, ORT India, Mr. Benjamin Isaac arrived at Port Blair. They inaugurated ORT sponsored school MS Chouldari.
12 to 18 November 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 4 schools for 129 students.Smart school software installed in 2 schools. 3 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 3 schools and given training for 46 teachers 16-17 Nov teachers training program conducted at Port Blair, training has been given to 43 teachers. On 18th Nov Disaster Management Program conducted at Port Blair and 41 teachers participated.16 Nov Value Education and Yoga Training conducted at Rangat, 26 teachers participated.
5 to 11 November 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 8 schools for 433 students.Smart school software installed in 2 schools. 3 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 5 schools and given training for 74 teachers.
1 to 4 November 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 7 schools for 339 students.Smart school software installed in 2 schools. 4 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 4 schools and given training for 103 teachers.1-2 Nov Management Development Program conducted at Rangat, 53 Head of the Institutions got trained.
22 to 28 October 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 2 schools for 51 students.
15 to 21 October 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 7 schools for 182 students.Smart school software installed in 2 schools. 2 teachers got trained. Multimedia teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 2 schools and given training for 47 teachers.16-17th Oct teachers training program conducted at Diglipur, given training for 26 teachers. On 18th Oct Disaster management program conducted at Diglipur, 25 teachers participated. EO Mr. M.Gunasheelan was the Chief Guest.
1 to 14 October 2006	Student Assessment Program conducted in 6 schools for 129 students.‘Smart’ - School software installed in 4 schools and 14 teachers were trained to operate the software. Multi-media teaching and Computer awareness program conducted in 3 schools and given training for 46 teachers.12-13 Oct Teacher’s training program at Mayabunder, 17 teachers participated in the training. On 14th Oct Disaster management program conducted at Mayabunder, 14 teachers participated. DEO Mr. P. Gupta was the Chief Guest.
27th September 2006	30 local candidates interviewed and tested for the position of 3 Data Entry Operators. Selected candidates to join from 3 October 2006.
23rd September 2006	Director BJS meets DEO’s of Diglipur, Rangat & South Andaman and AEO of Mayabunder regarding October 2006 Schedule finalization.
22nd September 2006	Director BJS Visits Naval Public School as Guest of Honor for Science Exhibition.
19th September 2006	Ø A meeting held in Directorate of Education regarding transfer of programs ownership from BJS-EDUQIP to Directorate of Education. Chairman AN-BASIC chairs the meeting.Ø Port Blair office admin team carriers out 100% checking of CBSE 2006 class X results before publication of marks booklet.Ø Farewell meeting for Mr. Samuel S Raju, Assistant Manager by the BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) team.
16th September 2006	BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) admin team completes 320 SAP Answer sheet correction during the week to make a total of 663 pertaining to all students who took SAP test from Diglipur zone.
8th September 2006	Port Blair and surrounding areas shaken by an earthquake of 5.5 on richter scale at 2.50pm.
5th September 2006	BJS-EDUQIP Port Blair team received Accreditation reports of SSS Schools accreditated during the academic year 2005-06.
4th September 2006	Meeting held in the Directorate to initiate handover of BJS-EDUQIP programs to the Directorate of Education as per clause 9 on page 9 of the MOU.
31st August 2006	Director BJS conducts 3rd Open House Meeting of BJS-EDUQIP team. He reviewed the 85 programs conducted by the team during Aug 2006 and discussed the Implementation Schedule for September 2006(82 programs).
25th August 2006	i) Assistant Commissioner Mayabander inaugurates 2nd MDP for Heads of Institution of Mayabander zone conducted by Director A&N and BJS-EDUQIP team.ii) BJS-EDUQIP data entry team and admin team starts correction of SAP answer sets for the North & Middle Andaman zone.
24th August 2006	Director A&N Shri. Hemant Misra had meeting with Deputy Commissioner North & Middle Andaman Shri. Vijay Anand IAS and appraised him about BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) Programs.
22nd August 2006	Director-EDUQIP(A&N) had meeting with new Education Secretary Shri. Arvind Ray, IAS. Director A&N appraised Shri. Ray about the BJS-EDUQIP programs, BJS construction activity as well as the BJS-EDUQIP program schedule for 2006-07. Secretary Education expressed satisfaction at the work being done by BJS.
8th August 2006	Director Education Shri. Raj Kumar inaugurates BJS-EDUQIP Teachers Training Program for teachers of Port Blair. Program attended by all senior officials of Directorate of Education. The program was covered by the local press and Doordarshan.
2nd August 2006	Roll out of BJS-EDUQIP programs for academic year 2006-07 launched with a 3 days Teachers Training Program in Wimberlygunj zone.
17th July 2006	A&N Administration issues Tsunami warning in A&N Islands in view of earthquake and tsunami in Java, Indonesia.
10th July 2006	Implementation schedule of BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) Programs for academic year 2006-07 giving date wise, School wise, Zone wise programs submitted to Director Education.
4th to 8th July 2006	Precarious power situation in A&N due to heavy rains/cyclonic conditions causing disruption in office activity.
1st July 2006	1st Open House Meeting of BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) team for the academic year 2006-07. Director A&N explains Implementation Schedule to the entire team and formulates teams for the various programs.
27th June 2006	Director-BJS (A&N) along with managers prepare detailed Implementation Schedule of BJS-EDUQIP programs to be rolled out in the academic year 2006-07. The programs to be rolled out are 1) Teachers Training 2) Disaster Management 3) Management Development Program 4) Student Assessment 5) Value Education 6) Yoga Training 7) Computer Education 8) Multimedia Teaching 9) Smart School Software 10) Accreditation (of balance schools).
26th June 2006	BJS-EDUQIP team members started arriving back at Port Blair after Summer Bonanza.
22nd June 2006	Nodal Officer Legal and Chairman AN-BASIC Shri. P.K.Roy along with DEO South Andaman Shri. Lucus Robert and DEO North Andaman Ms. Leela Hanif leave for BJS-HO Pune for discussions on BJS-EDUQIP Accreditation reports and other programs.
11th June 2006	Officials from Direct Relief International Mr. Seshadri Iyer Program Coordinator (Donors for the BJS construction activities in A&N Islands) arrive at Port Blair.
5th June 2006	“The Daily Telegrams” informs that Lt. Governor Shri. Ram Kapse has resigned as L.G of A&N Islands.
27th May 2006	BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) team prepares single chart showing all programs implemented during academic year 2005-06.
22nd May 2006	BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) Data Entry team starts re-entry of all accreditation data after resolving bottlenecks in the online system.
12th May 2006	The last of BJS-EDUQIP Crash Course teachers leaves Port Blair for mainland after completing his assignment.
10th May	At the request of Director Education, BJS EDUQIP construction team visited GMS Chouldari to carry out investigations regarding certain construction problems noticed.
6th May 2006	Director BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) meets MP Shri. Manoranjan Bhakta and explains to him about BJS-EDUQIP programs in Andaman & Nicobar.
28th,29th April 2006	Cyclonic conditions in Port Blair causing total power disruption.
7th March 2006	Director (A&N) BJS handed over an Ambulance to the Director Health Services Dr. N. Sadasivan and his officials on behalf of Donor’s, Direct Relief International of Santa Barbara, USA.
6th March 2006	Director A&N along with two managers met new Chief Secretary Shumsher K Sheriff, and showed him CD’s on BJS-EDUQIP and BJS-disaster management.
1st March 2006	First Annual Review of BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) program by Secretary Education and Secretary to LG Shri. Uddipta Ray. The review meeting was attended by Director Education, all AN-BASIC members, Dignitaries of A&N Administration, BJS President and CEO, National Secretary and the entire BJS-EDUQIP team. Speaking on the occasion Secretary Education expressed tremendous satisfaction at the BJS-EDUQIP work in the 2005-06 academic year. Director Education and AN-BASIC members also spoke on the occasion and expressed their confidence about the BJS-EDUQIP program improving the Quality of Education in the Islands based on the effect that the BJS-EDUQIP roll out had during the current academic year 2005-06. All expressed their eagerness for the BJS-EDUQIP program for the year 2006-2007.
28th February 2006	Mr. Shumsher K Sheriff, IAS takes over as new Chief Secretary of A&N Administration. February end Open House Meeting of entire BJS-EDUQIP team was organized. The same was attended by the entire BJS-EDUQIP team, it was conducted by Director (A&N) and attended by Executive Director-BJS.
27th February 2006	Executive Director- BJS and Director (A&N) BJS met outgoing Chief Secretary Shri.D.S.Negi and gave him a presentation on BJS-EDUQIP.
24th February 2006	All teams return to Port Blair after completion of February 2006 and academic year 2005-06 schedule.
17th February 2006	Chief Secretary Shri. D. S. Negi and Mrs. Negi, given farewell by NGO’s. Director (A&N) BJS and Assistant Director-BJS attended the farewell function.
15th February 2006	Director BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) submitted Monthly report to Secretary Education, A&N Administration regarding BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) working for the month of January 2006. Mr Y.K.Singh Principal SIE takes over as Assistant Director Education (Admin) in place of Mr. P.K.Roy who in turn has taken over as Assistant Director Education (legal).
2nd February 2006	Teams leave Port Blair for coverage of Southern Group of Islands including Havelock, Neil and Little Andaman Islands.
21st January 2006	Director-BJS (A&N) attends meeting with DEO's of various zones to take feedback on programs conducted by BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team in their zones. The feedback was taken for North Andaman (DEO, Ms. Leela Varghese); Middle Andaman (DEO, Shri. M.S.Tirpathi & AEO Mr. Sharma), Car Nicobar (EO Dr. Rajender Prasad)
3rd January, 2006	Six local field coordinators, four local Computer Operators, five Multimedia teachers join the BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team.
	BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team completed 100 days in the Islands. Achievements to date includes:
	i) 205 Schools Accreditations.
	ii) 21 Smart School Administration Software installations.
	iii) 1 teachers training program, for 35 teachers.
	iv) 170 children from 8 schools undergoing learning through multimedia being conducted by BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team.
	v) 14 Awareness Program for Parents, Teachers and Students were conducted.
	Two Management Development Programs for 67 Heads of Institutions of two educational zones.
31st December, 2005	All BJS-EDUQIP team members return from Middle Andaman Islands after completing programs there. The team conducted 103 Schools accreditations, 14 Awareness Programs, 10 Smart School Software installation and 1 Teacher's Training Program during their visit to Middle Andaman.
19th December, 2005	Mr. Suhas Baxi, Director Triple Point Technologies, Donor's of Badam Nallah School arrived at Port Blair.
13th December, 2005	BJS Team lead by Director BJS (A&N) and four BJS Multimedia teachers launched multimedia teaching at Senior Secondary School, Rabindra Bangla Vidyalaya (SSS RBV). The prograame was attended by the Principal and 20 Teachers. All were highly enthused to use multimedia as a teaching tool. The Principal has allotted one classroom for multimedia teaching, with a capacity for 30 children.
11th December, 2005	The Daily Telegrams published an article entitled "The BJS School Accreditation Programme" in the Sunday Edition.
9th December, 2005	Director Education and Senior Officials of Directorate of Education select Senior Secondary School RBV for launching of teaching with multimedia.
6th December, 2005	Director (A&N) briefed, Director Education, A&N Administration on Programs to be implemented in December 2005, Multimedia teaching as well as Computer Donor's brochure.
5th December, 2005	Interviews conducted in BSJ-EDUQIP (A&N) Port Blair office for local personnel to join BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team.
3rd December, 2005	The Commissioner cum Secretary, School, Higher & Technical Education Departments, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri. M.M. Bhat visits Schools along with Director (A&N) and Asst. Director (A&N). He was shown Smart School Software installation in SSS Bhatu Basti, and also met the children and was shown BJS construction work at MS, Chouldari.
2nd December, 2005	BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) Team was flagged off by Director (A&N), Asst. Director and Administrative team for their one month long trip to Middle Andaman for conducting Accreditation programs in 101 schools, installing Smart Software in 13 schools and conducting Awareness and Teachers Training Programs. The team will return on the 30th December 2005 to Port Blair.
1st December, 2005	The Commissioner cum Secretary, School, Higher & Technical Education Departments, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri. M.M. Bhat visited BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) office. He was welcomed by BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team and was briefed about their activities by Director (A&N) and other senior staff. Shri. M.M.Bhat spoke to the BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team and praised them for their missionary work and encouraged them to continue their work with zeal and determination. Shri. Bhat spent over 11/2 hours with the BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team.
30th November, 2005	BJS, Director A&N and Asst. Director had meeting with Chief Secretary to appraise him about BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) Donor's Program for Computers and associated equipments setup for A&N Schools.

27th November, 2005	Shri. Mutthaji, President & CEO BJS addressed the Second staff meeting of all BJS-EDUQIP Port Blair team and informed all about the future plans of BJS-EDUQIP.
26th November, 2005	President & CEO, BJS along with Director-BJS, Asst. Director BJS and Managers had meeting with Chief Secretary Shri. D. S. Negi. Discussions held on progress of BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) Program Implementation as well as the Progress of BJS construction work.
	Meeting held with Secretary Health Shri. Rajendra Kumar regarding receipt of consignments of essential medicines and equipment for the Primary Health Centers and Sub Health Centers of A&N Islands valued at US $ 2.2million received as gift from Direct Relief International, California USA.
	Shri. Mutthaji President & CEO, BJS addressed Rotary Club of Port Blair at Bay Island Hotel and informed them about BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) as well as BJS's work after the 8th October calamity in Jammu and Kashmir. He showed CD on BJS's work in J&K to the members of Rotary Club Port Blair.
	Fourth Meeting of AN-BASIC held at BJS-EDUQIP(A&N) office at Junglighat. The meeting was Chaired by Shri. P.K.Roy, Chairman and attended by Shri. S.G.Mutthaji, President & CEO-BJS and all Members of AN-BASIC.
25th November, 2005	Director BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) briefed Director of Education about the activities to date of the BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team as well as the schedule for December.05. Secretary (Edu.) was also informed about Shri. Mutthaji having received the WANGO 2005 Award on behalf of the BJS in Spain.
22nd November, 2005	Director BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) had a meeting with DEO Middle Andaman & AEO Mayabunder & their staff regarding the under mentioned program to be conducted by the BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) team for the Schools of Middle Andaman and North Andaman. a) Accreditation/Pre-Accreditation b) Awareness c) Smart School Admin. Software d) Teachers Training The team has planed to carry out 101 Acc/Pre-Acc., 13 Smart School Administration Software Installation, 6 Awareness Programmes and One Teacher Training Program in the month of Dec.05
21st November, 2005	5 Crash Course Teachers of BJS left for Car Nicobar, Nancowrie Islands, Great Nicobar and Little Andaman to provide help to Tsunami affected students in the upcoming Board exams in March '06.
19th November, 2005	Director BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) appraised Director Education about the activities of BJS-EDUQIP (A&N) Team which completed 50 days in Port Blair. A brief of the activities are a) Three AN-BASIC meetings complete with action plan & action taken reports. b) 70 Accreditation/Pre-Acc completed in Schools of South Andaman. c) Installation of 10 Smart School Admin. Software in South Andaman School d) Crash Course by BJS Crash Course Teachers covering approx. 250 students of Class X.
17th November, 2005	BJS-EDUQIP director gives a presentation to Andaman-PWD Chief Engineer Mr. G.C. Khattar and 10 of his Sr. Personnel on BJS-EQUDIP activities.
16th November, 2005	BJS-EDUQIP Port Blair release advertisement for the requirement of local Personnel for conducting Crash Course for class X students to help them improve their performance in the incoming Board Exam in March.06 .
15th November, 2005	BJS-EDQUIP Port Blair released two advertisements (A). for the recruitment of local Personnel for the position of Project Manager, Project Leader, Project Coordinator and (B). For recruitment of Multimedia Teacher.
	BJS-EDUQIP launching training program of Teaching with Multimedia for teachers of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Port Blair. The school will rollout this program for their students of classes V to IX in their E-Classroom. BJS-EQUQIP has gifted the multimedia software kit to the Model School free of cost.
14th November, 2005	On the occasion of The Children's Day BJS-EDUQIP launching its program “Teaching with Multimedia” for 42 children nominated from different schools of Port Blair. The School Principals & the Directors of BJS inaugurated the program.
13th November, 2005	Article on BJS : its role & involvement in Andaman & Nicober (Post Tsunami) appears in The Daily Telegram.
12th November, 2005	BJS-EQUQIP team visits Barren Island, this island has the only live volcano in the eastern hemispheres.
10th November, 2005	BJS-EDUQIP team completes 50th accreditation in the South Andamas.
8th November, 2005	Secretary IT (A & N Admin) agrees to hyperlink BJS-EDUQIP website with A&N Administration website.
8th November, 2005	Ten Crash course teachers being repositioned to the southern group of Islands (Little Andaman to Great Nicobar) to help approximately 3000 students of class IX to XII in the coming board exams in 2006.
29th October, 2005	1st open house meeting of all BJS-EDUQIP (AN) team after completing a month in Islands was conducted by The Director (A&N) and the Asst. Director.
25th to 28th October, 2005	Meetings held by Director A&N with DEO Rangat, DEO Diglipur and AEO Mayabunder, regarding visit plan of BJS-EDUQIP (AN) teams to Middle Andaman (Total 84 Schools) and North Andaman (Total 62 Schools) for Awareness program, Accreditation program,Teachers Training program as well as Moral & Value education and Awards program. All issues including coverage of these territories by SIX teams, cluster of schools and logistics including places of stay of the teams was discussed
24th October, 2005	Review of crash course teacher's schedule and process of Crash Courses between Chairman AN-BASIC and Director-BJS (AN).
19th October, 2005	Crash Course Rollout begins. ADE (Admin.) sends out letters to Education Officers of all six zones informing them of visit of BJS-EDUQIP Crash Course Teachers for the next two months to cover. South Andaman ( 3 Teachers), Middle Andaman (2 Teachers), North Andaman (1 Teacher), Little Andaman (2 Teachers), Car Nicobar (2 Teachers), Great Nicobar (1 Teacher).
17th October, 2005	Meeting held at SSS, Port Mout School alongwith Senior Officials ofEducation Department, Principals and Teachers of Wimburlyganj Zone to detail the modalities for rollout of Crash Courses.
15th October, 2005	Introductory Seminar on Teaching with Multimedia conducted for Education Department Personnel and Senior Principals of Port Blair Schools. This program was also attended by AN-BASIC members.
13th October, 2005	Meeting of Education Department / DEO South Andaman and BJS-EDUQIP Directors and Crash Course Teachers held to welcome them to A&N and discuss their rollout plan.
13th October, 2005	Two day induction programme for Senior professionals recruited for EDUQIP takes off.
10th October, 2005	Ten Crash Course specialist teachers selected by BJS land in Port Blair. Their areas of specialization being Maths, English and Social Studies as needed in the Islands.
8th October, 2005	Implementation of School Administration Software-Phase I completed in four schools.
6th October, 2005	15 schools in South Andaman have been accredited within 7 days.
4th October, 2005	Induction programme begins for the senior group of teachers who will conduct Crash Courses in A&N schools for Xth and XIIth class students.
30th September, 2005	Roll out of Accreditation program for A&N schools begins.
28th September, 2005	BJS team was introduced to AN-BASIC committee, school principals and other senior officials of A&N education department.
26th September, 2005	Team reaches Port Blair and is ready for roll out.
24th September, 2005	Team leaves Pune for Port Blair after Induction and intensive training on the complete basket of programmes.
18th September, 2005	II AN-BASIC meeting held at Port Blair at 5.30 pm.
16th September, 2005 and 17th September, 2005	A team of additional 10 Senior Professionals has been appointed in the BJS team.
15th September, 2005 to 18th September, 2005	Train the Trainer Programme (Four days) takes of f by Dr. Sandeep Shastri of iACT - Bangalore for the A&N team.
13th September, 2005	Seminar for Senior Managers and Directors conducted at H.O. (Ref: Advertisement in TOI - Ascent of 7/9/05)

25th August, 2005	Mr. Hemant Misra, BJS -Dir - Port Blair office, attended a one day workshop by State Institution of Education on Integrated Programme for Inclusive Education and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation. Mr. Misra took the opprotunity to introduce the BJS-EDUQIP team to all the participants and briefed them on various BJS activities.
